Hi Guys and Gals, Well the Golf Collectors Society Region 4 Trade-show and tournament in Austin is close upon us again. We have selected March 27th-March 29th, 2008 as the dates. Details are enclosed and we are expecting a big turnout of over 45 attendees plus spouses. Please put us on your schedule! All are welcome! In addition, as most of you know that attend our event we always have a sizable group from Edmonton, Canada represented. This year is no exception with some 15 players not only coming to Austin but they have also issued a challenge to play USA players a Ryder Cup format type tournament prior to the Region 4 event. This will kick-off Wednesday, 3/26 at 10AM at Lost Creek CC with a “get acquainted” scramble. The formal match will be played at Onion Creek on Thursday 3/27 also at 10AM. We have more than 20 USA players already committed for this early tournament and any and all are welcome to play in this fun event. The extra cost will be about $60 per day and will include green fees, cart and lunches. For those who sent in shirt sizes, some sharp logo shirts for the USA/Canada matches were ordered. We ordered a few extra in case others want. Cost is $35-$40 and a few ladies shirts will be available as well. This will be a great GCS week; a trade show, banquet, entertaining speaker, 4 straight days of hickory play, good companions and a wee nip on the 19th hole. There will also be TV, Radio and Newspaper coverage. Could we ask for more? |
